Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I care for my crochet item?
To ensure the best lifespan for your crochet item, default to hand washing your item in the sink, using warm water with laundry detergent, and letting the item air dry while laid flat. Some products are specifically made to be machine washable, but it is recommended that you still use the gentle cycle with cold water, and put the item in a mesh laundry bag.
  • Why does crochet cost so much?
Crochet items must be made by hand, one stitch at a time. Labor costs, expertise, material costs, and profit margin must also be calculated into the price.
  • Crochet vs Knit?
Crochet cannot be done by machine, whereas knitting can be. Therefore, when you buy a crochet item, you know for a fact it was made by hand. Knitting traditionally uses two needles, and crochet uses one hook to create the stitches. The stitches made by knit and crochet are different in structure.
